The Afro-Latino Festival is moving to Downtown Brooklyn in its seventh year! Experience the Festival’s free, outdoor stage, with DJs, exciting performances, and dominos + spades play time on custom art domino tables curated by Bien Conectao. Fun for the whole family!
- 1:00p – 2:00p | DJ Ritmos Equis + Drum Sessions
Ritmo Equis returns to the Festival for a second year, visiting from Panama, where he is one of the country’s most respected DJs - blending hip-hop, funk, house, reggae, reggaeton calypso, and more. Drum Sessions will bring traditional and contemporary Afrolatin, Afro-Caribbean and African sounds together for a special outdoor call of the drums.
- 2:00p - 2:30p | DJ Tahleim
DJ Tahleim’s style ranges and blends a mixture of Soul, Afrobeat, Salsa, Funk, Hip Hop, R&B, Disco, Electro, Samba, Reggae, House, Jazz and Afro-World music. He is the cofounder, curator and resident DJ for the live art, music and dance party called Collage NYC.

DioMara, born Diomara Xionida Delvalle, is a Panamanian-American singer/songwriter from Brooklyn, New York. She lives amongst her fellow Caribbean and Latino peers on Flatbush Avenue, so the culture, along with the American Soul and R&B, led to the diversity of DioMara’s musical palette.
- 3:20p -3:45p | Bombazo Dance Company (workshop/performance)
Bombazo Dance Company fuses traditional Afro Puerto Rican Bomba with classical, contemporary and social styles of dance. The word “Bombazo” signifies a Bomba jam. It is where the community gathers to celebrate life through its rhythms, song and dance. Bombazo Dance Co. is the premier modern and folkloric drum and dance company in the tri-state area.
