Brooklyn Falls for France: Begat Theater’s HIDDEN STORIES
Begat Theater’s HIDDEN STORIES [Histoires Cachées] is an outdoor immersive performance that will blend itself into the urban landscape of Downtown Brooklyn. Supplied with headphones, the audience is temporarily endowed with the power to hear the thoughts of certain passers-by and to follow them through city streets as reality and fiction intertwine. The audience follows four protagonists, slipping into their heads and delving into their deepest secrets, discovering four separate yet parallel stories. The show is available in French and English.
Begat Theater seeks out innovative ways to frame the work of contemporary authors within the context of public space. Blending elements of performance art, environmental street theater, visual art, and sound installation, they develop new forms of dramatic writing that place their audience in an active role, where the boundaries between fiction and reality are blurred. The company reinvents theatrical codes with each new piece they create.
Two performances each day, from 10/25 - 10/27. The meeting point will be sent the day before each performance.
Tickets are extremely limited - limit 2 per person. If you can no longer attend, please cancel your reservation.
This event is part of Brooklyn Falls for France, a cultural season organized by the Cultural Services of the French Embassy and FACE Foundation in partnership with Brooklyn venues.
