Gage and Tollner
The celebrity factor wasn’t the only reason Gage and Tollner was such an icon, although Mae West and Truman Capote were known to sip cocktails here, along with the more infamous Diamond Jim Brady. Brooklynites were incredibly loyal to this legendary seafood restaurant, as were the many waiters who served here for ages, their loyalty to the atmospheric establishment unwavering.
Being restored to its former glory, this interior landmarked space has played many roles since the legendary Gage and Tollner closed its doors in 2004. Today, the space is being brought back to life and is experiencing renewed interest as a future restaurant location.
