Hill Country live headlines Downtown Brooklyn
February 14, 2014
Besides the finger-licking good food, another major perk comes with the addition of Hill Country Chicken and Hill Country Barbecue Market to Downtown Brooklyn’s restaurant scene. As with its Manhattan and Washington, D.C. locations, Hill Country’s new 345 Adams Street location is decked out to host Hill Country Live, its popular live music series, which started this month with nightly shows as well as live band karaoke. Most shows are free of charge, and tickets for the few with a cover remain affordable, selling for between $10 and $15.
“It is a joy to bring a wide array of roots oriented music to the stage at our newest Hill Country location. There are so many cool artists living in Brooklyn, that we want to invite in and make welcome,” said Jessie Scott, Director of Hill Country live. “Our sound system is superb, and the Brooklyn Hill Country is such a beautiful location!”
From the large band country tunes of 2/3 Goat to the rockabilly sounds of Screamin’ Rebel Angels, the line-up at Hill Country Live offers something for everyone – even those who apply the DIY mentality to their music.
Next week, Hill Country will begin its Rock ‘n Twang Live Band Karaoke on Wednesday nights, offering the public its chance to sing with live band accompaniment. This regular event features Empire Beats as the backing band for those brave enough to channel their inner rock star on stage.
Other upcoming shows include Big Daddy Love on the 15th, Ana Egge Band on the 18th and New Country Rehab on the 21st. For a full schedule and list of bands, check out the full Hill Country Brooklyn Live calendar here.
