Algerian “T’meryil” Revolution: Dance Performance/Workshop and Screening

Join Algerian-American dance artist, producer, and educator Esraa Warda for an exploration of Algerian dance traditions, featuring Medahatte, Raï, and Alaoui from Western Algeria.

The event includes a preview & presentation of her in-development fieldwork documentary filmed by Yasser Souisri showcasing dance artists from Wahran and Sidi Bel Abbès, followed by a live music performance & interactive workshop that engages participants in the movement vocabulary and cultural spirit of the region.
