Friday Night Dance Series: DJ Spinna’s ‘Flavors’ Party with special guest Grand Puba

Join us on the last Fridays of July and August for the most uplifting dance parties NYC has to offer.

Join Brooklyn’s own DJ Spinna as he pays homage to 90s hip hop with the legendary Grand Puba. As a world-renowned artist and producer, DJ Spinna connects the dots between rap, house, funk, soul and jazz through his originals and remix work. The Brooklyn native’s remixing is considered prolific and demonstrates how styles of music are interconnected and coexist. He can be heard regularly on his Apple Music Hits show, Here to There Radio. His following is universal and always thrilled to move to whatever he plays. Grand Puba is one of the most influential rappers of the early 1990s. He rose to fame as the leader of the group Brand Nubian before releasing several hits as a solo artist. He was also instrumental in the early career of R&B icon Mary J. Blige.
