CULTURE WINDOW @ THE JEWELBOX, PRESENTED BY THE ACTORS FUND OF AMERICA AND BROOKLYN BALLET

More than one year after the closure of all performance venues in New York City, these vibrant and varied evenings brought together artists from across the borough to share their work with a live audience, many for the first time since the shutdown. With a strong commitment to honor and authentically represent the creative, multicultural community of Brooklyn, audiences experienced a different program each Friday night from April 16th to April 30th, 2021. Program highlights included Simone Dinnerstein, Brooklyn Ballet, The Knights, Girl Be Heard, and City Stompers

Part block party, part cultural happening, Culture Window @ the Jewelbox was free fun for the whole family to enjoy.

Culture Window @ the Jewelbox was a free performance series funded through the Downtown Brooklyn + Dumbo Art Fund.

The opportunity to continue programming in The Jewel Box is most welcome, for our artists, organizations and most of all our audience. Overwhelming response to December’s Nutcracker in the Jewel Box showed us how much the community yearns for, in fact needs the connection provided by live art programming
