Fulton Mall Streetscape Revitalization
as part of the city’s $40 MILLION INVESTMENT IN DOWNTOWN BROOKLYN, Downtown Brooklyn Partnership (DBP) and NYC Parks Department will be upgrading the Fulton Mall streetscape to make Brooklyn’s most famous shopping district greener and more beautiful.
We are excited to work with our partners to bring a key element of our Public Realm Action Plan to fruition, and enhance Fulton Mall as a thriving shopping district and vibrant public space that serves all New Yorkers.
This $8M public investment includes:

Enlarged planting beds with new plantings

New benches

Permeable pavers around planting beds (the sidewalks will not be repaved)

Preliminary timeline: August 2024 – Fall 2025

To minimize disruption to public transportation and retail activity, work will take place from 8pm to 6am
