THE FUTURE BEEN FEMALE: Community Chalking with Giannina Gutierrez

With THE FUTURE BEEN FEMALE projection in the background, legendary street artist Gutierrez will bring the prompt “how are you magic?” to life with a chalk drawing. The public will also be invited to join. 

This community chalking event is part of THE FUTURE BEEN FEMALE, a public art installation celebrating  women in Hip Hop, projecting historic images, lyrics and quotes by women artists, leaders and innovators. Conceived by fashion icon April Walker, and produced by DBP and BRIC. Projections run until 11:30pm.

Ongoing: A 12-song playlist curated by Walker accessible here and via QR codes on the tables in Albee Square.
