Story/Teller Arts: David Adjmi on Stereophonic

Night after night, David Adjmi’s acclaimed new Broadway play Stereophonic astounds audiences with its enthralling depiction of a 1970s rock band, struggling to record their new album. Named the Best Play of the Year by the Washington Post, Stereophonic “is ingeniously entertaining and an incisive meta commentary on the nature of art” (Naveen Kumar, the New York Times). Stereophonic leads this year’s Tony Award nominations, with thirteen including Best Play for Adjmi. The Center for Fiction welcomes Adjmi to celebrate the play and the new publication of its script. Join Adjmi for a thrilling conversation about his script and how he takes us inside the cloistered world of a recording studio. After the conversation, Adjmi will sign copies of the play.
