JULY 2: Nikita White

Originally from Chicago, vocalist Nikita White moved to New York in 1980 and began studying voice with Dr. Barry Harris’ vocal workshop, then went on to work with a variety of notable artists including Mulgrew Miller, Kenny Washington, Henry Butler, George Braith, Russell Hall and Lafayette Harris. She has toured in Europe, studied at Long Island University, and performed freelance for many years, including a turn as Ella Fitzgerald in the play SS Nirvana.
