The Center for Fiction
The Center for Fiction is a home for readers and writers in the heart of Brooklyn’s cultural district, featuring a bookstore, cafe/bar, membership library, writers studio, and relaxing reading rooms for members. Literature lovers of all ages can attend dynamic public programming centered around celebrating storytelling in all its forms, take writing workshops, and participate in reading groups. As the only nonprofit organization dedicated to the art of fiction, The Center also provides free reading and writing programs for NYC public schools, launches careers with an Emerging Writers Fellowship, and awards stars in the industry from their first novel through a lifetime of excellence in fiction.
