An 18-foot sculpture of the first-ever hip-hop comic book character is now in #DTBK! 👏

🛠️ Built by @WelderUnderground and modeled after the design of legendary artist @OrrDesigns, Rappin' Max Robot is on-view at Columbus Park — just a few steps away from Brooklyn Borough Hall.

We’ll have live music by @batalanewyork + @ltrainbrass, as well as free coffee* from @coffeeprojectny, at the @nycmarathon Mile 8 cheering station — Sunday, Nov. 3 from 9:00a to 1:30p at The Plaza at @300ashland!

We connected local college students with BK-based startups as part of our Open Office initiative! Students from @LIUbrooklyn, @NYUtandon, @BrooklynLawSchool, and @SFCNY toured the offices of these innovative startups:

• @Vycarb, a startup at the forefront of decentralized carbon removal technology at Brooklyn Navy Yard
• Blue Ridge Labs, @RobinHoodNYC’s innovation lab focused on tech-driven solutions for low-income New Yorkers
• @Makelab3D, an on-demand 3D printing service
• @NineDotEnergy, creating equitable urban energy grids and storage solutions

By connecting students with entrepreneurs and breakthrough technologies, our Open Office program nurtures the next generation of innovators, strengthening Brooklyn's position as a world-class tech hub and pipeline for talent.
