We are excited to highlight Stack’d Burger, a joint for burger and wings enthusiasts at 18 Nevins Street in Downtown Brooklyn. If you crave robust flavors and satisfying sides, Stack’d Burger promises to deliver. We sat down with the founder of Stack’d Burger, Quatada Samaha (“Q”), to find out more about his culinary venture, what brought Stack’d to Downtown Brooklyn, and to learn more about their future.

DBP: Could you tell us about the inspiration behind Stack’d Burger?

Q: I’ve been working in the restaurant industry for years; initially as a chef’s assistant. Stack’d was driven by my desire to create a burger that truly stood out — packed with flavor and texture. Many burger joints were falling short in that regard, so I saw an opportunity to cater to those who appreciate a hearty, traditional burger cooked to order with locally sourced ingredients.

Q, owner and founder of Stack’d Burger.

DBP: Can you tell us about your ingredients and your flavors?

Q: Each Stack’d Burger is a testament to creativity and quality. Unlike smashed burgers, we focus on stacking layers of flavors. Take, for instance, our Brooklyn Stack’d, with its combination of lettuce, tomato, fried egg, beef bacon, cheese, and signature sauce, or our Texas BBQ, featuring onion rings, bacon, lettuce, tomato, and more. Our halal certification reflects my cultural background — merging my American upbringing with influences from my Palestinian heritage. The seasoning and sauces, including our signature garlic aioli inspired by shawarma, add unique twists to traditional flavors.

DBP: What are the most popular items on the menu?

Q: The Texas BBQ Stack’d, the Sweet Chili Wings, and the Lemon Pepper Wings.

DBP: Why did you choose Downtown Brooklyn as a home for Stack’d?

Q: Downtown Brooklyn appealed to me because of its rich history and vibrant community. Coming from Detroit, I found similarities that felt like home. Unlike Manhattan’s touristy vibes, Downtown Brooklyn offered a diverse demographic that resonated with me and my vision for Stack’d.

DBP: What does the future hold for Stack’d?

Q: Our primary focus right now is on establishing this location as a cornerstone of Downtown Brooklyn. We’ve been open for about a year and aim to become a go-to spot in the area. While franchising might be a future goal, we’re currently dedicated to enhancing our presence and becoming an integral part of the community.

DBP: What advice do you have for other business owners and entrepreneurs?

Q: Consistency is key. Running a business is a journey filled with challenges, but maintaining a steadfast approach and focusing on the bigger picture is crucial. Patience paired with a sense of urgency in daily operations is essential. Small steps forward, even when faced with setbacks, ultimately result in success.

Stack’d Burger stands out as more than just a place to eat — it’s a testament to entrepreneurial spirit and culinary creativity in Downtown Brooklyn. As they continue to grow, their dedication to consistency and community should make Stack’d a beloved local staple.
